I have not written on this site in forever, sorry to my few followers. I generally stick to Facebook, and don't worry, I'm lacking there too! So there has been a TON of changes here at Stone Wolf Creation.
1) I took on a partner to keep from having to sell my collection outright. The idea of having to sell what came down to my life's work and what I had been building since 1983. And Its now a few days into 2023... Well lets just say I was in tears and having panic attacks over. And building a Museum for my collection here in Alaska wasn't going to happen. It just isn't the right state for it. Especially southeast Alaska which can be expensive to travel to.
So it's been about 2 years now since I took on a partner, Samantha. We are slowly but surely shipping all the models and other collectables south to the state of Virginia. Were not sure if that will be the final resting place for the collection & the museum, but for now, that's where the current piece of land is that there going to. That's just where the building with all the security is that there being locked up on. And for now, it's an easy central location to start with.
In the meantime, its costing over $200. a month to send 4 medium sized boxes with up to but sometimes less than 50 horses a month from Alaska to Virginia. And we've been doing this almost every month for 2 years now. Well since 2021. Plus we have to keep up with the collection. Which means picking up Breyer Club Model Horses, Breyerfest Horses, Midstate & Brick & Mortar Horses, Not to mention each years Regular Runs.
And not just Breyers! Ive given up on Peter Stones. I have a few hundred of those, and that's where that collection is staying. They have gotten far too expensive, In fact I can buy resins for cheaper than the average new stone now. Not to mention, there no longer regular runs, everything is limited, special, ooak.....
But I am still adding new Collecta, Schleich, some Safari, and new brands that Im finding on the internet all the time!
Not to mention, Stone Wolf Creations is working with 2 artist to do my own models! No Im not sculpting, but I'm designing models that Tibbi Searcher is sculpting, the first one, "SWC TS Gotta Bea Pill" a Traditional scale Pony Mule Bighting at her itchy hip, has now been printed in Micro Scale "SWC Micro Pill" and will be available in Traditional, Stablemate, Micro & HO scale when she's all ready! Contact Tibbi Searcher for availability!
The next Resin, will be a Gaited Mule Weanling Having a bit of a tissy fit in the show ring, about ready to kick a judge! Her name is "SWC TS Miss Muley Jane". She is such a handful! I was going to upload an image, but google wont let me upload from my Kindle it seems without downloading a bunch of crap, and my desktop computer is too old to access the internet. And the last time people invaded my apartment to "Clean/Organize" without me here, because it was easier if i wasnt 'In the way' they moved my laptop, and I haven't found it since.... And that was about 2 years ago now. So... I've only been using my Kindle for the last couple of years... No laptop, no desktop....
Were also working with Paul Sanders for a Large Traditional 8 legged Extra Jointed Fantasy Tricorn Stallion named "Spidokon" who will also be cast in Stablemate Scale and Micromini..... I'm thinking Classic Scale, the newer Breyer Freedom Scale which is a bit larger than the old Maureen Love Classics..... Anyone can message me through Facebook pm for pictures of this guy!
I think I almost got a new laptop last year, dad was going to give me this pink one he found in his office.... But mom decided they needed one to put something on for traveling that wasnt her laptop, and wasn't dads laptop.... Why this one program needed its very own computer i have no idea.... So i sorta got screwed out of a new lap top after dad had given it to me.... It happens... Ages ago Dad gave me one of his realy nice cameras, but hadn't brought it overto the apartment yet, he was going to swap out a lens in it.... 2 days later my brother visited and my mother gave the camera to him. And that brother hardly knows anything about fancy high tech cameras. He would have been fine with the cheep $99. Digitals that I use. Im the professional photographer that used to sell photos and do all the fancy digital editing and all that.....
Yeah.... Oh those were yours? Well we just bagged up all those stuffies and donated them... Sorry. I was really lucky one time I managed to save a $45 Silver Fox my deceased ex-husband bought for me at a Native Alaska shop. The foxes name is "Silvaire" I name him after a blue Betta I had for quite some time.
Anyways, a few new outstanding customs have come & gone, if I can figure out how to post images on here from my kindle I will! We have a new Chihuahua in the studio as well.... Otherwise, I would say check out Facebook, both my site under my name, and the studio name. Theres also a museum page that Samantha is running as well!
Happy new 2023, at least I hope its happy...... Or at least happier...... Sorry all for the meanderings..... I haven't been online much lately so my brain tends to wander.....
